Do it Right with Training Fires

• If you are preparing a building for a training fire and do not know your State of Iowa and Federal regulations let our knowledgeable staff inform you about these regulations. The fines could exceed your initial asbestos inspection consultation.
• Thoroughly completing the chain of custody form will insure a detailed lab report. Your lab report will accompany your notification to the Iowa DNR. Each sample, approximately the size of a quarter, must be sealed in a properly labeled plastic baggy to prevent cross contamination.
• Important Reminder: The building owner may be subject to fines issued by the State of Iowa and/or Federal government

1. Identify training fire property
2. Contact us
3. We will complete an Asbestos Building Inspection which meets requirements set forth by federal and state entities and includes:
• Compleation of necessary tests.
• A lab report (will be generated and sent to you and to proper government authorities (Iowa DNR)).
4. If asbestos must be removed then we can provide you with complete Asbestos Removal Project Supervision.
5. Once approved by the state and federal authorities we will let you know that the site is ready for the training fire.

1. Send someone from your fire department to get Asbestos Inspector training.
2. Identify training fire property
3. Have the licensed Asbestos Inspector from our fire department take samples
4. Send the samples to us for Asbestos Testing Only
   • Thoroughly complete the chain of custody form in order to ensure a detailed lab report.
   • Ensure that all steps in asbestos sample collection are followed properly.
   • We will complete the necessary tests. A lab report will be generated and sent to you and to proper government authorities (Iowa DNR)
5. If asbestos must be removed then we can provide you with complete Asbestos Removal Project Supervision.
6. Once approved by the state and federal authorities we will let you know that the site is ready for the training fire.
