Ames Environmental Training: Awareness

Every employer that has hired staff performing maintenance or custodial work around (but not disturbing) asbestos containing building material (ACBM) and/or presumed asbestos containing building material (PACBM) is required to provide such employees with 2 hours of asbestos awareness training. Each participant, upon successful completion, will receive a certificate from the State of Iowa stating that the course has been completed.

Provides students with information about:

Uses of asbestos
Health effects of asbestos
Recognition of damage to asbestos
Proper response to asbestos fiber release episodes

General information:

This class is site specific (taught on-site at your facility) and may include information regarding your particular location.
When the course is conducted at your facility we can point out asbestos issues in your facility during the course.
