This course has been
approved by the State of Missouri and enables the successful
participant to obtain a State of Iowa and/or State of Missouri
asbestos management planner license.
Provides students with information about:
- Evaluation and interpretation of survey results
- Hazard assessment and response action evaluation
- Legal responsibilities
- Evaluation and selection of control options
- Role of other professions in the management plan process
- Developing and implementing an O & M program
- Regulations
- Record keeping
- Assembling and submitting a management plan
- Cost estimation and finance response actions
- Written State of Iowa and/or State of Missouri license examination(s) (administered at the end of the course)
Please Note:
- Students wishing to obtain a State of Missouri license will need to take an additional exam. This exam will need to be taken only once if certification stays current. If participant lets certification pass the grace period, the initial class and Missouri exam will need to be retaken.
- The initial Asbestos Inspector course is required prior to taking this course.
- The certified management planner is allowed to write asbestos management plans in order to manage existing asbestos within a school building.
- Upon completing the course and exam, each student will receive a certification of accreditation.
- Students enrolled in the initial management planner must attend both days of the course. The class fee will not be refunded for those who do not attend the full 2 days.
- The refresher course must be completed annually (prior to the expiration date of the certificate) in order to maintain the certification.
