This initial 2-day course has been
designed to meet EPA and OSHA requirements for those whose work
requires them to contact and disturb asbestos. This course allows
the successful participant to perform small scale (less than 3 square feet or 3 liner feet) asbestos
removal and cleanup.
Provides students with information on:
- Asbestos awareness
- Asbestos regulations
- Worker protection
- Work procedures
- Operations and maintenance information
- Instruction and hands-on training for glove bag procedures
Please note:
- In order to participate in respirator fit-testing, a copy of the physician’s certification must be provided to the course instructor.
- Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of accreditation.
- The refresher course must be completed annually (prior to the expiration date of the certificate) in order to maintain the certification.

Designations for Asbestos Work:
- Class III - Repair and maintenance operations conducted where ACM materials are likely to be disturbed.
- Class IV - Maintenance and custodial activities during which employees contact ACM and PACM and activities to clean up waste and debris containing ACM and PACM.
